To apply for international admission as a transfer student, submit the following items online or send to the address below:

  • Application for Transfer Admission
     Submit online (recommended)
    Download PDF (1.3 MB)

  • $45 Application Fee (nonrefundable)
    When submitting the Common Application and/or the Miami Supplement online, payment with a credit card is available. Submission by postal mail requires a check or money order in U.S. funds made payable to Miami University.

  • International Student Financial Statement Form
    Download PDF (103 KB)
    The International Student Financial Statement Form must be accompanied by documentation providing proof of financial support.

  • Official Academic Records
    Academic records include all secondary studies (including proof of secondary school graduation) and post-secondary studies completed to date.

  • Entrance Test Scores (if applicable)
    These include TOEFL/IELTS and/or ACT/SAT scores.

Additional Application Requirements

School of Fine Arts
Students pursuing the following majors are required to submit a portfolio and/or schedule an audition by the application deadline: architecture, interior design, art, art education, graphic design, music, music education, and music performance. For specific admission requirements for each major, contact the School at 513-529-6010. No audition is required for the bachelor's degree in theatre. However, if you are interested in this major, you are welcomed and encouraged to submit examples of your creative work in addition to your Miami application. Honors Program
To apply for Miami's University Honors Program, you must submit the Honors application along with an official transcript from each institution you have attended directly to the Honors Program Office. To be considered for Honors admission, transfer applicants must have earned a 3.5 cumulative g.p.a. and at least 15 but fewer than 45 credit hours at their previous institution(s).
