Requirements
Applicants for graduate study must have earned a baccalaureate (bachelor's) degree from an accredited institution, having earned a minimum grade point average of 2.75 or a 3.0 average for the last four semesters of study for the bachelor's degree.
If you are enrolled in a degree program at another graduate school and intend to return to that institution, you must request the Application for Transient Status from the Graduate School (513-529-3734).
Application for Admission
To apply for a graduate degree program or continuing non-degree status at Miami University, submit the following:

*This fee is not required if you hold a master's degree or higher from Miami University.
- Official Academic Transcript
This record of previous academic work should be sent directly to the Graduate School.

- Test scores (if applicable)*
You may be required to take the Graduate Record Examination, the Miller Analogies Test, or the Graduate Management Admission Test. Check with your program.
*Test scores are not required for Continuing Non-degree status.

Application for Financial Aid
If you are interested in applying for a financial aid award in the form of an assistantship, check the website of the department you are applying to for specific procedures. If none exists, complete the Application for Graduate Award (PDF 442KB) after you submit the Application for Admission.
Print and mail the completed form along with other application materials directly to the academic program in which you intend to study. Or, save the completed form and email it as an attachment to the graduate director in the academic program in which you intend to study. If you have any questions, contact the Graduate School.
